When booking your stay at The Bower Byron Bay rest assured your health and wellbeing is of our highest priority during COVID-19.

The Bower is committed to offering you flexible booking terms and working with you to make any adjustments to your reservations in place, in line with the required government restrictions.

We look forward to welcoming you and can assure you that we’re in overdrive on the sanitising and cleaning fronts. We were on it way before the alarm went off. The Bower’s co-owner Dr. Blake Eddington, an emergency medical physician and an expert in viral disease spread, is ensuring we are taking correct measures and protocols which include our staff having their health and temperature checked before they begin each shift, increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all areas across the entire property and implementing even stricter hand hygiene policies for our team members.

Guests Travelling from Victoria or Covid Hotspots in Sydney

With the recent outbreak in Victoria and parts of Sydney, those who have travelled through Victoria or any Sydney Hotspots on or after Friday 3rd July will unfortunately not be able to check in to the property until further notice.

If this applies to you, we can cancel or postpone your booking. As this is a government-mandated travel restriction, we are able to offer a credit for your stay.

Our commitment to you is to ensure that every possible safety measure is in place so your stay with us sees you benefit from all that a luxury holiday Bower-style can deliver.

We are closely monitoring the daily guidance being issued by our own State and Federal instrumentalities as well as the World Health Organisation and will continue to educate our teams accordingly in matters which include:

  • Hand hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing to help combat the spread of viruses. We all know cleanliness starts with this one simple act and is of vital importance for the health of our employees and that of our guests.
  • Guest rooms: We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with special attention paid to high-touch items. We are also being extra sensitive to guests who do not want housekeeping service during their stay.
  • Public spaces: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces, with a focus on the counter at the front desk, door handles, public bathrooms and even room keys. No surface is left uncleaned.
  • Back of house: in the spaces where team members work “behind the scenes”, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances.
